System in Action
The system is based on a free interconnecting communication between the nodes. Each node routes data to neighbor nodes, hence working as bridge and repeater. In this way extending connectivity to wider areas is just a matter of adding new nodes.
Reliability increases by adding new nodes to the network, as opposite to classical Wireless networks.
The network is built upon 2 kinds of nodes:
Up-Link
The last hop connecting the Mesh Network to the Up-Stream provider link. From this point the network is broadcasted to the different meshed points.
MGB (Mangrovia.net Box)
These are the nodes (Box+Antenna) which build the network in a peer-to-peer manner. They are connected to the internet via the Up-Link.
Technical Specs:
WiFi Mesh works on free-of-license frequencies in the spectrum of 5GHz & 2.4GHz, by using CE devices and following the ETSI & IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n standards.
